Well I have known Chris and Sue for some years now and was delighted when they asked me to sell Burrow Heights and join the team. Immediately it was obvious that ruralFX have quite a following as many of you have seen the previous sites and appear to be 'hovering' for the next one to be developed in a location 'near you'!

It has therefore been a very pleasant start to life at ruralFX and Sue’s attention to detail and design has made my job far too easy. Many barn conversions are plain and uninteresting, and in most cases are basically boxes internally with a 'beam or two' reminding you that it once used to be a barn. Both internally and externally ruralFX conversions overflow with character. Traditional features, yet the most contemporary fit you cannot even imagine. I have seen all the sites and each one improves, I feel I should almost say don't buy Burrow Heights because our next site will be even better! Maybe that’s a Gerald Ratner comment and I should move on.

Joking apart, Burrow Heights is a superb development, a fantastic location and proving to be very popular. With the words 'credit crunch' round every corner, the run of the mill housing market is difficult at the moment but quality properties such as ours, when priced correctly are bucking the trend. I am a regular visitor to site with potential buyers showing interest on each plot, and already sold one off plan. Each week I am amazed how things have moved on and how each property is transforming into a stunning home.

The Farrow - well, this is just going to remain Lancasters best kept secret, (as only one other person viewed before it was sold) unless its new owners wish to share their new abode and allow you a private viewing!

The Hoggett - was perhaps always going to be the most challenging but Sue as ever, has introduced a remarkable design to be the centre piece, by incorporating illuminated glass panels from the living area, up to the volted ceiling where a velux window then filters light back through the panels onto the landing and staircase at the other side -breathtaking and forever a talking point.

The Old Dairy - is perhaps my favourite, although I cannot make my mind up. The open plan living/dining kitchen has no less than two sets of French doors, two fully glazed exit doors and two picture floor to ceiling windows, all overlooked from the glazed mezzanine landing.

The Gin Ring - last but not least - a truly amazing build, having versatile accommodation and the most complex build to date, incorporating the original Gin Ring around a circular kitchen. Has to be seen to be believed.

A great start but a well deserved one!
