Well at last after a lot of anticipation we have purchased our next site. The development will be at Burrow Heights Farm in Scotforth, which is just south of Lancaster. Hooray….I can dust off my rigger boots!

It has been a frustrating 12 months since completing our development in Goosnargh. We have struggled finding the right site which would give us the potential and enthusiasm to create another stunning range of properties. As you know by now we are very passionate about each of our developments and equally so with this new one which will give us more of a challenge. The site has a Grade II listing from English Heritage. This would normally present difficulties for developers due to the strict guidelines. We have been advised we already build our properties to this standard.

The site will consist of three stone barns to be converted into two detached and one pair of semis. Each has been designed individually with private gardens and garaging and is scheduled to be awesome!

The designs of the homes are being finalised at the moment and should be complete by the end of November at the latest. We are however starting the building work next week.

Unluckily for us two sales on this property have fallen through this year. One was resold straight away but my favourite barn from the Goosnargh development is back on the market !

New Book keeper
We are very pleased to announce a new team member for RuralFX. ..

Sam joined us in April and has already rolled a new computerised accounts  system out. I personally am over the moon as paper work and accounts are not my forte.

I am somewhat mystified though. Since her arrival all the cheque books are now locked away…?!

New Sister Company
We are setting up a sister company to RuralFX called CoastFX. This company will build contemporary individual houses in North West Wales fronting on to the sea. A completely new set of design principles will apply.

We are astonished at how much interest we have received from people enquiring where our next site will be.

Due to this high volume of enquiries we have decided for a short period only to offer the barns for sale off plan. As mentioned in the Spring Newsletter we don’t normally sell properties prior to completion as we know that many customers are unable to visualise the end product. We also fear being constricted in the design methodology by customers if we involve them at an early stage of the build.

That said, on the last development in Goosnargh a customer did buy a property off plan. They also agreed to let us get on with the fit out without their influence and in our own way as their confidence in the end result was justified on viewing our previous work. They were prepared to make an early financial commitment in order to secure the deal and able to pick the best positioned property on the site.

We, RuralFX are in essence a design company where every stage of the build and fit out is controlled by ourselves and not the customers.

So if you are interested in buying one of our uniquely designed properties and are in a position to commit financially then please contact us. As soon as the brochures are complete with the internal layouts and site plan we will send one.
